At the beginning of Fast Flies journey, we always wanted to get the younger generation into fishing. So when we were asked to sponsor Tweedstart plus we jumped at the chance to help out. We donated some money and training to provide equipment, so Tweedstart could take 10 young people aged between 10-17 to be taught how to fish. There were professional instructors who taught fly casting as well as how to fish rivers and still waters effectively and safely. We also had Paul Little a legend fly tier who gave fly tying lessons.
All 10 said at the end of the 4 weeks it had been a great experience not only to learn new skills but form new friendships.
