To fish a "flame dot egg" fly, cast upstream and allow it to drift naturally downstream, mimicking the movement of a dislodged fish egg, ideally near spawning beds or deep runs, using a dead drift technique to present it most realistically to the fish; the bright color, like "flame" red, is particularly effective in murky or fast water conditions where visibility is low, attracting aggressive fish seeking food; ensure you're not fishing directly over actively spawning fish to protect the species.
